If you're a Kenwood Blog habitué and all-around Beatles trivia enthusiast you know that Lennon had his Mr. Kite poster hanging in his den and a Great War recruiting poster with Lord Kitchener somewhere around the front entrance.

Beatles Worcester Ware Tin Tray

Another one of many "virtual props" is the Beatles Worcester Ware Tin Tray circa 1964 which Ive made for a 3D scene.

Thanks again to Major Ed for the tray (and game) measurements and reference photos which I used as my texture maps after a little Photoshop work.

And the assist goes to Beatles impresario and extraordinaire Greg Feo of Los Angles for pointing out an important little detail I missed, which was the label on the back and "Made In Great Britian".

George Harrison's Gibson J-160e

But I made a mistake with this model and render by putting a label inside the body. However this was a good mistake since I learned something new from my friend and walking Beatles dictionary Marcelo of Barcelona Spain;

"Remember the only Jumbo which had a label inside was Lennon's second Jumbo, the one he bought in America during their summer tour. Their first 2 Jumbos they ordered while still in Liverpool, did not have any label inside. Cheers, M."

So this 3D render is George's Jumbo as created from various reference photos but has John's 1964 Gibson J-160E serial #64309.

So here we have yet another one of many Beatles 3D virtual props, modeled to scale for a WIP scene, in a transparent attempt to keep the posts coming.

Kellogg's Corn Flakes box circa 1967

Since I've received a lot of e-mail about Paul's Pepsi radio I thought I might as well post some of the more interesting objects for fun in between posting complete scenes so here's a Kellogg's Corn Flakes box render for a Kenwood sunroom.

Although the front is a 1967 U.K. version, I created the completed texture from a few different vintage cereal boxes so it's not entirely accurate how the actual box would have looked like.

I originally had a toy advert on the back, but I'm told by my friend Jimi (of the world-famous Jimi Blog ) who lives in the fair county of Kent , that such glaring advertisements weren't the norm of the day so I replaced it with a more traditional image.

If anyone happens to have a vintage Lennon spec Kellogg's Corn Flakes box lying around please drop me a line.

To quote the Beatles Bible;

In this scene, part of George Harrison’s childhood home is reproduced. Below is John Lennon’s Sunroom, where he spent much of his leisure time. Both scenes are accurately reproduced to the smallest detail.

Onward with Lennon's Kenwood sunroom and this low angle interior shot and my vision of what a typical day in the late-night writing session might have looked like.

I guess John's outside having a ciggie break.

As for the contents of the sunroom in these virtual scenes, it's more or less a compilation of everything we could sus out in the various photos over the years.

Paul McCartney's Pepsi Radio II

A quick update and some new, old information;

"The radio itself is very tough to find in playing condition. There are also several variations of the same radio, so you have to be careful to get the right one.

But the toughest thing to find is the matching red leather carrying case. And even tougher to find is the matching red leather snap-on earphone case that fixes to the red leather radio case.

It sorta funny, but the press kept asking them about these radios while they were in New York. It turns out someone from Pepsi had gotten into their rooms in New York in advance and left four radios for the guys.

At the end of their trip the guys just left them in the room, if memory serves me right."

I'm also told the footage from the limo was shot on February 8th , not the 7th so that means Paul did not have the radio when they landed as I assumed.

Note the first three letters is "assume".

It also means the radios were most likely not present in the Deauville Hotel pool room on February 15, 1964, among all other Beatle swag when they rehearsed for the third Ed Sullivan show.

Onto the obscure, which is the Pepsi radio Paul had in hand when they landed in America on February 7, 1964.

Recreating all these many famous photographs and scenes familiar to Beatle Maniacs doesn't consist simply of amps, guitars and other basic Beatle gear.

There is also a vast array of ancillary objects contained in these recreated virtual three-dimensional spaces from furniture and tea sets to alarm clocks and everything thing in between.

Paul's Pepsi radio is one such objects seen among all these Beatle gear 3D scenes. Hey, even in the virtual world you still need props.
